NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
We, Al-Ameen Hospital, Marathamcode, provide level III care of NICU. Our department takes care of newborn ailments including prematurity, Neonatal hyperbilirubinaemia, pneumonia etc. Mechanical ventilation including CPAP (Continuous Positive airway Pressure) are being offered for babies with respiratory ailments.
We, caters not only to the In-born babies, but also is a referral centre for sick newborns from other hospitals in and around Kunnamkulam. The Neonatology Team comprises of a qualified Neonatologist, pediatricians and well trained NICU staff who work round the clock to provide comprehensive care to newborns.
In house digital X-ray, ultrasound and echocardiology are available. All Newborns undergo screening for congenital hypothyroidism ,hearing & critical congenital heart disease.
